The Bethel Inn Resort offers a bed and breakfast “Giving Back” package to help restore the Upper Androscoggin River.  Once one of the nation’s top 20 most polluted rivers the Androscoggin, is an emerging trout fishing destination thanks to federal, state and local organizations’ restoration efforts.  The local Upper Andro Anglers Alliance, of which The Bethel Inn Resort is a founding member, conducts a float stocking program of rainbow, brown and brook trout and a river bank clean-up in May along with a river stewardship program  during the summer months to conduct fishing surveys and collect data for the biologists at Maine’s Dept. of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.  Guests are welcome to participate in these restoration efforts.  An added bonus for fly fishermen might be that 14” rainbow you helped stock in May.  B&B packages start at $80 per person/per night.
