 Breakfast

Awake to the smells of a delicious breakfast served in our dining room overlooking the lake. Dine at a cozy table for two, or join others, your choice! Start with homemade granola, a choice of juices and fresh coffee or tea. Then, in the style of classic bed & breakfasts, enjoy being served the breakfast of the day, like creme brulee french toast or perhaps classic eggs benedict.

If you are a vegetarian, please let us know and we will happily accommodate you! If you wish a smaller breakfast of fruit with homemade muffins & homemade granola, we can do that too, just let us know!

We are located in The New London Area in the Sunapee Region of New Hampshire. The village of North Sutton is one of four villages within the Town of Sutton. This area is easy to reach via the expressway system. We can provide detailed driving directions when you call for reservations.

Boston is just 1 1/2 hours via I-93 north to I-89 north, Exit 10.

Montreal is about 4 hours away via I-89 south, Exit 10 (in NH, not VT).

New York City is about 5 1/2 hours via: I-287 north across the Tappen Zee Bridge; to I-684 east to I-84 east into CT; at Hartford CT take I-91 north toWhite River Junction VT; take I-89 south to Exit 10.

We are at Exit 10 off I-89. Turn left if coming from the south; turn right coming from the north. Proceed about 100 yards. Turn right onto North road (Just follow the signs for Route 114 or Wadleigh State Park) for about 1 mile. Turn right onto Route 114 for 1/4 mile. We are just behind the white church on the right. There we are. We are at the intersection of Route 114 and Keyser Street, across from the lake.

We are midway between Concord, NH, our state capitol and Hanover, NH, where Dartmouth College is located. New London, home of Colby-Sawyer College, is four miles from the inn.

You can avoid the hassle of Logan Airport in Boston by using the Manchester, NH Airport, only 50 minutes away from us via interstates I-93 and I-89. It is serviced by several major airlines including United, Continental, US Airways, and SouthWest Air.

Number of Rooms: 17
Each of our 17 guest rooms have been decorated to reflect an individual lakehouse decorating style. Your room is named after one of the ancestors of the town, maybe Abigail or Ichabod or Hannah. Each is comfortably accommodated with king, queen, full or twin-sized beds, covered with quilts and comfy pillows. Several have special lake views. We also have several very special suites.

Two common rooms provide space for relaxation and conversation. One echoes a rustic Americana theme with a wood-burning stove and barnwood walls from one of the original out buildings. The other, facing the lake, offers a service bar with a wide choice of beers and select wines, a comfortable seating area by a fireplace and a game table.

Craft Beer Touring
Come Enjoy Some of the World's Finest Craft Beers. . . .
We are fortunate to live in the heart of New England's craft beer country. Nearby are The Alchemist Brewery, brewer of Heady Topper pictured above. Heady Topper has been voted the best tasting double IPA in the world by Beer Advocate magazine. Also nearby are Lawson's Finest Liquids and Hill Farmstead Brewery, brewers of several top ranked beers including Edward (pictured below). All three are micro breweries that do not distribute their product beyond the local area. So come stay at Follansbee and make a day of touring the beer country where you can enjoy unparalleled scenery, fine spirits, and delicious food.
