Forty Putney Road is a comfortable yet elegant inn overlooking the water yet just a short walk to vibrant downtown Brattleboro Vermont.

We are not your grandmas B&B. We're beer geeks and have a small pub on site with over 30 local craft beers. Every Saturday night enjoy a craft beer tasting. Every morning we serve a full 2 course gourmet breakfast. Relax in the hot tub, or play a game of pool by the fire.

Every guestroom has its own private bathroom. Several rooms have fireplaces. We are on the water and hiking trails and our formal gardens include one of the largest Japanese Maples in the United States.

Craft Beer.  It's a growing phenonemon and is chaging the way that America enjoys this 10,000 year old beverage.  At Forty Putney Road we are pretty big "Beer Geeks" and offer you the opportunity to enhance your beer knowledge, or to discover craft beer for the first time.

Every Saturday night in 2012, at 5:30 pm in our own pub, join noted brewmasters and craft brewing experts as we offer a 90 minute beer-ducation.   You'll sample 7 locally produced craft beers, from 7 different local breweries and in a variety of styles, along with fun and fact filled information about brewing, beer styles and brewing history.  

We'll also set up some locally made snacks and cheeses, and even talk a bit about "pairing" with beer - sure to impress your friends at the next dinner party!
