Nestled by a sparkling stream on several acres at the edge of picturesque Jackson village in the Mount Washington valley, the inn’s rooms and rustic cottage for two are uniquely appointed with period furnishings, many with two-person Jacuzzi and/or balconies and most with fireplaces.  Spend your days exploring waterfalls or enjoy scenic drives, hiking, golf, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, tax-free shopping or just relaxing with a book by our heated outdoor pool (May-September) or in the Adirondack chairs by the river. For the eco-adventurous, you can scale Mount Washington via the Auto Road, the Cog Railway or hiking trails, take a moose tour, or a go on a mountainside horseback ride. Fall surrounds you with its brilliant foliage, and when the snow flies, you can cross-country ski, snowshoe, take a sleigh ride, or choose from one of five alpine ski centers nearby. No matter the season, you can return from exploring the White Mountains to enjoy afternoon refreshments in our gazebo or by a blazing fire, a game of darts or billiards in our cozy game room/pub, the challenge of a Stave puzzle or board game in our sitting room, or the relaxing view of the river as you soak in our atrium-enclosed hot tub. Dining is available at many wonderful restaurants in Jackson and nearby North Conway

Start with a choice of juice, fruit, cereals, our freshly baked muffins or coffee cake, and your choice of hot beverage. Then choose between our two hot entrées, each served with maple glazed bacon or sausage and a choice of toast if you wish. The sweet entrée might be a cinnamon crepe stuffed with an apple filling and topped with crème fraîche, blueberry banana pancakes, or perhaps orange croissant french toast topped with fresh strawberries. There's maple syrup, of course! Or opt for our savory entrée of the day which might be a double tomato, basil and mozzarella omelet, a roasted pepper and vegetable frittata, or Eggs Benedict strudel. We feature local and regional food products as much as possible. Elegant and hearty, our breakfasts will leave you satisfied and ready to enjoy the beauty of the White Mountains. If you are departing early, a continental breakfast is always available ~ just ask an innkeeper the day before.

Jackson has an enviable selection of unique formal and casual restaurants and pubs. The inn has arranged dinner packages with the Wentworth, Thompson House Eatery and the White Mountain Cider Company for your convenience. Nearby Inn at Thorn Hill offers a Four Diamond dining experience. We also have menu books for all Jackson and many North Conway - Conway area restaurants and are happy to make reservations for you.

Each is uniquely decorated with period furnishings and a wide variety of traditional and modern amenities. All rooms have private baths, cable TV/DVD, phones, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, clock radio CD players. Many rooms have two-person Jacuzzis and/or balconies; most have wood burning, gas or electric fireplaces. The inn is air conditioned.

Inn to Inn Culinary Herb Tour
Visit 10 inns for tasty herb treats, recipes, seeds or plants for your garden, and culinary lore. Package includes welcome reception, herb-themed breakfasts, tour, and a gift from the inn; $249-$469 depending on room selection. Limited number of one night packages available for $159-$179. Enjoy spring in the Valley and stay a third night for $99-$139 OR stay a fourth night free.

Culinary Herb Tour
Learn all about culinary herbs -- their uses, history, and versatility and receive recipes and herbs to take home from 10 inns in the Mt. Washington Valley. Northern inns will be on Saturday’s tour and Southern inns are toured Sunday. Package includes a Friday welcome reception, herb-themed breakfasts, two tour tickets and gift from the inn. Midsummer Nights Dream
Summer romance begins with a two night package including a candlelight dinner for 2 at a local restaurant, 2 half hour massages at nearby Moondance Massage, and a fruit and cheese plate OR champagne and chocolates. Spring for a White Mountain escape with a two romantic nights, chocolate strawberries, champagne, massages, and dinner by candlelight one evening at White Mountain Cider Company. Summer Slopeside Adventure
Choose one of two slopeside adventures for summer fun - a scenic horseback trail ride at Black Mountain OR two full-day tickets at Attitash Mountain Resort for unlimited use of their Mountain Coaster, Alpine and Waterslides, Scenic Chair Ride, Climbing Wall, Mountain Biking, etc. Guided trail ride available May 25-October. Attitash option available June 16-September 3 only. Package includes a picnic lunch, two nights lodging, breakfasts and afternoon refreshments. Enjoy a free night’s stay just for our Canadian friends. You’ll need three days to enjoy both tax-free shopping and all the spring activities the White Mountains offer, from waterfalls and hiking to the Cog Railway or a round of golf. After your busy days, relax in our gameroom/pub and atrium-enclosed hot tub. Our heated outdoor pool will be open, weather permitting. Let the Inn at Ellis River pamper you as you celebrate life together.
