Mountain View has an extensive, complimentary children’s activities program called the Mountaineering Club, which offers three sessions daily during school vacation. The hotel features an historic golf course (opened in 1900), tennis courts, state-of-the-art Health and Wellness Center, the award-winning Tower Spa, indoor and outdoor pools, horse-drawn carriage and sleigh rides, dogsled adventures, moose tours, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and a wide range of activities both at the hotel and off-property in the magnificent White Mountains.

Mountain View Grand offers multiple dining venues for guests, including AAA Four Diamond gourmet dining both in the Garden Room and in the slate-lined Wine Cellar, where guests can enjoy gourmet selections while surrounded by 7,000 sparkling bottles of wine. The recently expanded Tavern provides spectacular views of the peaks of Franconia Notch as well as a cozy dining experience in the lounge with a mouth-watering menu of pub-style favorites and more.

A light and inventive menu is available for guests enjoying the majestic views on the seasonal Veranda, while Club House diners are treated to unmatched vistas of the high peaks from the outside deck overlooking the golf course, in the charming interior dining room, and at poolside.

Committed to environmental sustainability, Mountain View Grand is an official EPA Green Power Partner, receiving all of its electrical power from the wind, including production from its own on-site wind turbine. For its many sustainability initiatives, the resort has been named an Environmental Champion by the N.H. Lodging and Restaurant Association.

Mountain View’s original 200 guestrooms were reconfigured into 144 more spacious rooms and suites for the resort’s grand reopening in 2002. The recent creation of the expansive and extra-luxurious Presidential Suite combined two of those rooms and now features a private wet bar, cozy fireplace, two LCD flat-screen TVs, hand-painted furniture, a luxurious two-person bathtub, and a beautifully appointed dining area complete with classic French doors framing the distant peaks.
Other suites and guestrooms feature private balconies with spectacular views of the White Mountains, our historic golf course and romantic garden vistas, while many offer sitting parlors, walk-in closets and whirlpool tubs.y.
