As one of the oldest operating hotels in America, the Grafton Inn is appointed with period antiques throughout and painstakingly restored, offering every modern amenity. The inn offers 45 rooms, including seven suites and four guest houses, all with private bathrooms and sitting areas.

Part of the inn is Grafton Ponds Outdoor Center, which offers year-round activities. In the summer, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, summer kids camps and canoe excursions are offered. In the winter, Grafton Ponds has 30 kilometers of Nordic skiing terrain, 15 kilometers of snowshoeing, a 600-foot tubing run and weekly special events. The Old Tavern restaurant serves locally-focusedAmerican cuisine that explodes with flavor. It can be either bold or subtle, but is always logical, simple, clean and elegant. The kitchen staff strives to include as many local items on the menu as possible, which is why seasonal menus are offered, in order to take advantage of the freshest local ingredients. The inn maintains a seasonal organic kitchen garden, focusing on heirloom vegetables for use in the dining room.
 
The Old Tavern Restaurant
Our dining room has three unique rooms, each with its own personality. Dinner is served in the Formal Dining Room and the Pine Room (6-9 p.m.). Breakfast is served daily in the sun-filled Garden Room (8-10 a.m.) In addition to its regular dinner, the restaurant hosts regular dining events including midweek dining specials, monthly “Grafton Nights” that benefit local Grafton charities, guest chef dinners and more.

Phelps Barn Pub
Phelps Barn Pub serves as the inn's bar. Attached to the main inn, Phelps Barn was once a carriage house for guests' horses. Open for guests every evening starting at 4. Full bar, specializing in local Vermont brews. Phelps is adorned with an antique quilt collection and historic photos. The upstairs loft of the barn has a lounge, games, a computer with Internet access and cable TV.
 
A pub menu is served Thursday through Sundays from 5-9 p.m. On Fridays, it’s Flatbread Fridays, where made-to-order flatbread pizzas are cooked to perfection in our brick oven. Live music is featured every Saturday night at 8 p.m.
 

The Grafton Inn is located in Grafton, Vermont, which is in the southwestern part of the state. We are located just 2.5 hours from Boston and 4 hours from NYC.

Just 12 miles from Interstate 91.

Closest airport is Bradley International (90 miles). Amtrak travels through Vermont and stops in Bellows Falls, just 12 miles from us.

The Grafton Inn offers 45 rooms, including seven suites and four guest houses, all with private bathrooms and sitting areas. All guests enjoy a welcome basket with award-winning Grafton Village cheddar, fresh fruit and crackers.  All nights include a full country breakfast the next morning.

Our seven suites have separate sitting rooms and large bathrooms with either a double jetted tub or a double soaking tub.

“While our inn is known for hosting Vermont country weddings as big as 150, we talk with couples regularly enough who would prefer to have a simple, intimate wedding,” explained Kathy Cray, the inn’s wedding coordinator and co-innkeeper. “So we have created a new package to accommodate them. We joke that they provide the ladder and we take care of all the details.”
