Enjoy an exciting sightseeing journey aboard the only steam and riverboat connection in America.  Your 1st class 2 ½ hour narrated journey begins at the historic Essex Station and takes you through the beautiful countryside of the Connecticut River Valley in vintage rail cars pulled by steam locomotive.  Your  journey continues at Deep River Landing on the Becky Thatcher riverboat for a cruise along the Connecticut River passing colorful scenic views, especially spectacular during fall foliage.  You’ll pass  historic places like Gillette Castle and the Goodspeed Opera House.  Your journey concludes back at the Landing where you’ll board the steam train back to Essex. Just 30 minutes away from our inn, this package makes a great day trip adventure.

Your package includes a 2-night stay at our romantic and peaceful country inn, a bottle of red wine when you arrive and first class tickets on the Essex Steam and Train Ride and Riverboat.

Package pricing starts from $407.00 plus tax (based on double occupancy and depending on room and/or date selected).  Book early as these tickets sell out quickly.  We make every best effort to reserve your train tickets; however, we cannot guarantee availability of train schedule.
