Make plans to enjoy some time on the Saco River, one of the most popular recreational rivers in the United States. The Saco rises at Saco Lake in Crawford Notch in the White Mountain National Forest then travels 134 miles where it empties into the Atlantic Ocean at Saco Bay, Maine.
Canoe rental includes shuttle, river briefing and insurance. Everything you’ll need for a safe and relaxing day on the river is available including life jackets, paddles, insurance, river map, private river access and parking.

Trip 1 (Introductory): 3 miles, 1 to 2 hours
Saco Bound to Weston’s Bridge. Depart anytime between 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Ideal for those who are ready to try canoeing or kayaking for the first time.

Trip 2 (Half Day): 6.4 miles, 2 to 4 hours
Saco Bound to the Pig Farm. Depart anytime between 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. This trip is exceptional for families, as the length is moderate, with calm water, a wide open non-obstructive river course with many beaches for swimming and picnicking.

Trip 3 (Full Day): 10.2 miles, 5 to 6 hours
Saco Bound to the Landing. Depart anytime between 8:30 am to 11:00 am. A longer day trip for those who want to spend most of the day on the water. This trip concludes at a beautiful 25 site campground.
