THANKSGIVING 2020

Thanksgiving is always such a special time spent with friends and family. However to celebrate such a holiday in the midst of a pandemic takes some rethinking of the way we do things here at The Wentworth.

Your safety is our priority and instead of the normal amount of guests that we host for dinner we have decided to limit the number of guests we will serve for Thanksgiving dinner and just make sure that all of guests at the hotel are taken care of safely.  All tables will be spaced apart from each other, large parties will be limited and we are simply looking forward to seeing our loyal Thanksgiving guests and providing you with a safe and friendly environment to celebrate this special holiday. We are lucky here at The Wentworth in many ways, firstly we have always believed in serving you our guests and not you serving yourselves in a buffet format so we have not had to make that adjustment. We are also lucky in the design and the space that The Wentworth offers so our tables can be spaced apart, many of our guest rooms are located in cottages surrounding the main inn so social distancing can be accomplished easier than many hotels. 

For those of you who cannot join us this year and for our local cliental we will also be offering the option of Thanksgiving Dinner to-go. Your made to order meal will be ready to pop in the oven for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. In addition we will be providing you with a link to reheating instructions just to make sure that this will be a fun and stress free evening for you and you can enjoy your Wentworth quality food in the comfort of your own home. Our Thanksgiving to-go package includes overnight accommodations on Tuesday and/or Wednesday evening, November 24th and 25th, dinner in the evening and breakfast before you depart and your Thanksgiving dinner packed up and ready for your own kitchen. This will allow those of you less comfortable with our current environment to enjoy The Wentworth at a slower time before the holiday. 

Chef Brian Gazda and his team have created an exceptional menu with the highlight of course being the Vermont Misty Knoll Turkey. Other offerings will include Salmon, Beef and Ham, with options for both Vegetarian and Gluten Free. Of course dessert – the home made apple, pumpkin and pecan pies served with Brian’s home made ice cream are the perfect way to end a perfect meal.
