The Fallon features 8 guestrooms in a style that is best described as “Vineyard Casual.” Located on the 2nd and 3rd floors above the award winning l’etoile restaurant, each of our guestrooms have a charm all their own. Hard wood floors, high ceilings, chandeliers, pedestal sinks, armoires and intricate crown molding are just a few of the characteristics that make our rooms irresistible. Relax in the overstuffed chairs, binoculars in one hand and a glass of port in the other as you watch the sailboats glide across the Harbor from one of our 2 spacious suites. All of our rooms have private bathrooms with a shower, tub or Jacuzzi and offer king, queen or two twin beds.
We have tried to fill each room with every comfort imaginable: flat screen TVs, air conditioning, iPod home stations, WiFi internet access, organic bath products, hair dryers, irons and full size boards, in-room safes, white noise machines, bottled water, 400 count linens and down pillows, sitting areas with cozy chairs, bathrobes, beach towels, coffee makers and mini refigerators.

The original house was aptly named “Butternut Cottage” for the abundance of butternut trees on the property. It featured three steeply pitched cross-gables, a steep gambrel roof line, room layout and side chimneys which blend elements of late 18th century American colonial architecture, with English and Dutch influences typical of Berkshire and Hudson Valley homes of the day.

It has been lovingly tended for and now maintains historical integrity combined with modern amenities.

Surrounded by a 120-acre wooded estate in Stowe, Vermont, our personality is defined by the close company we keep with the mountains. And by the many invitations this environment extends. Stowe Vermont Dining at Flannel & The Roost-- TWO NEW RESTAURANTS,ONE SHARED PHILOSOPHY
We believe that the art of a great meal lies in the balance between brilliant and unpretentious. That dishes at our Stowe restaurants should be memorable, and inspired by regional gifts - locally grown ingredients, organic wherever possible... with meats that are farm-raised, without hormones or unethical practices.

At Topnotch Resort, you'll find that art showcased daily, in dining experiences that consistently bring a fresh, approachable attitude. And celebrate the rich talent of Vermont's local cheese makers, farmers and culinary artisans.

Where Vermont dining is at its best, you'll find us. Topnotch in every way.

FLANNEL: A room, a view, a warm welcome. A place that pays homage to Vermont fresh ingredients, seasonal inspirations, world class wines, and service, paced to please. Like a friendly bistro with an open kitchen. Flannel is a favorite gathering spot for guests, providing almost magical views of the mountains and imaginative dining experiences.

THE ROOST:   The Roost is Topnotch Resort's contemporary lobby bar & restaurant where classic bar fare is reimagined with a decidedly Vermont twist. In a comfortable, casual space that brings the outdoors in, The Roost offers forest-inspired décor and 18-foot windows with sweeping views of Mount Mansfield. Grab a seat at our Shuffleboard Dining Bar to sample one of Executive Chef Steve Sicinski's small plates, the perfect bite to go with a craft draft beer or creative cocktail. Outdoor seating is available in our 70-seat patio iving room, which includes a free-standing pergola, comfy, oversized couches, a fire pit, bocce ball, and a fresh-water reflecting pool.

A room just for you

The room you retreat to at night should be as divine as the stay itself. Each room at our resort has been designed to reflect this notion. Charming and well-appointed, all provide a personal retreat that blends country luxury with thoroughly modern touches. Sink-into-slumber beds. Complimentary Wi-Fi. Marble baths. The most favored of amenities. Just as you’d expect it.

Two- and three-bedroom resort homes with sundecks, kitchens and incredible views. At Topnotch, you’ll find a room that’s just for you – and for whatever your vacation agenda includes.

Like all of our hotel, your room reflects the touches our intimate scale uniquely affords. A favorite book by your bedside. The option of breakfast in bed.  A Nationally Acclaimed AAA Four Diamond New Hampshire Restaurant
While the roots of the Bedford Village Inn are in historic New England, the crown jewel of the property is the contemporary regional cuisine and warm hospitality – and the BVI Restaurant has earned myriad accolades distinguishing it as a nationally acclaimed New Hampshire restaurant. Three dining venues, the Dining Room, the Tavern, and Corks offer you a choice for whatever your mood.

Critical portions of the cuisine we serve at the Bedford Village Inn Restaurant come from numerous high-end local regional producers and farmers throughout the Bedford, New Hampshire area.  Local produce means natural freshness.  So the eggs that make your souffle’ so fluffy are plucked warm from a henhouse in Londonderry, as does the maple syrup drizzling down the best buttermilk pancakes around.  And that nice thick slab of apple-wood bacon comes from “the north country” in Claremont.  The chickens we use come from our neighbors to the west in Vermont. Dairy and seasonal cheeses come from some of the most uniquely named pet goats and blue-ribbon sheep we’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

The BVI Restaurant boasts a full pastry and bakeshop where our Pastry Chef oversees production of all baked products served anywhere on the property – including your morning bread, hamburger rolls, and a variety of breads served at lunch and dinner – and, of course, desserts

When all are assembled, our amazed guests are faced with a choice of homemade cream-stuffed, steaming, drizzled, icy, fragrant, fruit-stuffed, chocolate-dipped, nut crowned and sugar-swirled delights. Tough decisions all the way around – but just wait until you see what’s on the menu during our Winter Holiday festivities!

One of the prides and joys of the Bedford Village Inn Restaurant  is our  Wine Cellar, home to over 8,000 distinguished bottles from which you may select the perfect vintage to complement your meal.  Or experience the taste of an elusive vintage in our Cork’s Wine Bar or Tavern. Certified Sommelier, Jon Carnevale, makes sure there are always new and exciting wines to enjoy with every seasonal menu and he  is happy to guide you on a new wine adventure to suit your palate and purse.

Our nationally acclaimed New Hampshire restaurant features many exciting culinary events throughout the year including our Chef’s Invitational Series, notable wine dinners, and Holiday events.

Come for your chosen summer or winter activity, or a wedding ceremony here at the B&B or elsewhere in the area, a business retreat, or just to relax with your favorite companion!

The Mad River Valley, which hosts the Sugarbush skiing and golf resort, Mad River Glen, and the quintessential towns of Warren & Waitsfield, offers a wide variety of activities all year round.

At the Inn you will enjoy 9 individually decorated guest rooms, all including a full bathroom ensuite with Jacuzzi tub or steam shower, really comfortable beds, quality linens, a fireplace, comfortable seating, TV and more.

Three common rooms and extensive gardens offer the opportunity to relax in comfort while making the Inn your country home. Catch up on your reading with our 1,000 book library, enjoy a movie from our extensive collection, brush up on your pool game or relax in the garden.

A full breakfast is of course included. Homemade cookies and hot drinks await you any time of the day or night.

For your relaxation and enjoyment in this quiet Green Mountain setting, we welcome children age 12 or older.

We offer a selection of Vermont beers and choices from our excellent wine cellar in our honor bar and in addition you can appreciate a taste of Scotland at our unique Quaich Single Malt Scotch bar. (Please note that as per State law, no alcohol can be brought onto the premises by guests.)

Your hosts Peter & Susan will take excellent care of you and will provide a personal concierge service to help you get the very best from your visit to the Mad River Valley. Our cats Smoky and Snowball also look forward to welcoming you, and ask that you leave your pets at home.

Start your day with a wonderful Breakfast. Each morning our guests enjoy a full, hot breakfast which is served usually in our dining room at our mid-century 12 person dining table. On occasion, breakfast is served in the Living Room or Sun Room, and in the warmer months sometimes on the canopied terrace overlooking the gardens. Our sumptuous three-course breakfast starts with fruit juice, home made breads or muffins and a specially prepared fruit dish. A tantalizing hot entrée is then presented to you to give your taste buds an early morning treat. The menu of the day might include Sweet Pepper Scrambled Eggs, Breakfast Casserole, Ginger Pancakes with Lemon Sauce, Pain Perdu (French Toast) with local Mad River Valley Maple Syrup, Asparagus filled Crêpes or Granny's Cheesey Soufflé.

There are excellent restaurants to choose from in the Mad River Valley for dinner, and all are owned by the people you will meet when you dine there.  We take great pride that almost all the businesses in the Valley are locally owned and operated.  Many of the restaurants focus on local ingredients.  We have a few favorites, which include The Common Man, just a mile or two from the B&B. You will dine in a barn that is over 150 years old, and the soaring hand hewn rafters of the timbered interior are lit by crystal chandeliers, soft candlelight, and a huge open-hearth manor fireplace in season. Dining is elegantly casual and casually elegant, definitely romantic, and is applauded by Vermonters and visitors alike. The restaurant has earned scores of prestigious awards.  We offer a special $99 per couple all inclusive price for our guests which includes a full choice from the menu - all you have to pay in addition is your bar bill.

The Mad River Valley is the perfect place to relax: beautiful scenery year round, no traffic lights, no fast food, and with all restaurants and lodging locally owned and operated. Tranquility awaits you, yet with so many things to do and see! Not to mention the many great restaurant choices close by for an enjoyable dinner each evening.

West Hill House is only one mile from Sugarbush skiing, golfing and tennis resort and adjacent to its Robert Trent Jones Sr. championship golf course - and just seven miles from the Mad River Glen co-operatively owned ski area. We're off the beaten path, but close to the center of Warren and Waitsfield with all their restaurants, shopping and artisans, and in the midst of outdoor recreation beyond imagination. It's a great base from which to explore and enjoy all of Central Vermont.

With warm weather hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, golf and tennis, soaring, spectacular foliage season autumn colors and wintertime downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and sleigh riding all nearby, Sugarbush and the Mad River Valley is a great place to visit at any season of the year! And don't forget the Mad Marathon and the other events of the Vermont Festival of the Great Outdoors in July, then the month long Vermont Festival of the Arts in August.

Wedding Overview:
Black Point Inn is a magical location for a wedding and reception. Imagine exchanging vows, surrounded by long sandy beaches and the Atlantic Ocean in the background.

We host weddings in our ‘shoulder’ seasons – including May and June, then after Labor Day. We will work on an individual basis for weddings of less than 40 guests during July and August. We work with each couple to customize their wedding - it can be as formal or casual as you would like. Customized weddings or modifications to our wedding package may be made and the price adjusted accordingly.

We strongly recommend a visit to Black Point Inn so we may show you our resort, the setting for your wedding reception and dinner, and offer ideas and suggestions on menus and other reception details. Many couples who have their wedding at Black Point Inn also have the rehearsal dinner at the Inn the evening before the wedding.
