The Ocean House is the last of the grand Victorian hotels, where life is still lived much as it was a century ago, a tranquil timetable of tides and sun, teatime and cocktails, sailing regattas and bonfires on the beach.

Perched high on the bluffs of Watch Hill, Rhode Island, the Ocean House is the last iconic New England seaside resort. The Ocean House was meticulously reconstructed to pay tribute to its storied past and offer exceptional personal experiences for guests, members and residents. The Ocean House's celebrated hotel and residential accommodations, uncompromising service, beachfront location, and world-class amenities pay homage to New England's golden age of hospitality with timeless elegance and renewed civility. At the Ocean House, we want to make your visit unforgettable- relax and sip a refreshment on our private beach, enjoy our signature farm-to-table cuisine, gather around the herb garden with breathtaking oceanfront views, or explore over five miles of pristine Rhode Island beaches.

Let us arrange a spa treatment for you at the spectacular OH! Spa or a day of golf, tennis, surf casting, water sports, and even croquet on our championship-level court! Or perhaps you wish for a day of fitness and exercise classes topped off with a swim in our all-season lap pool or in the ocean. The Ocean House has exceptional activities designed exclusively for you.

And just steps away, you can stroll through the quintessential New England seaside village of Watch Hill, RI with seaside gardens and hydrangea lined lawns as well as unique dining, shops and galleries.

Dining options abound at the Ocean House, with a variety of settings and menus to match every taste and mood. Here you'll find everything from sophisticated fine dining, to simple beach fare featuring native Rhode Island seafood and classic cocktails. Guests are also welcomed to a unique selection of  culinary activities specially designed to allow them to actively participate in the farm-to-table process, or relax and enjoy the stunning ocean views and incredible dining opportunities that only a beachfront resort can offer.

Seasons:
At the Ocean House's fine dining restaurant, the perfect accompaniment to every meal is a stunning view of the Atlantic. The menu at Seasons changes daily and exemplifies the "farm-to-table" concept that reflects our commitment to using the freshest local ingredients and inspires the cuisine throughout the resort. The traditional decor, historic stone fireplace, and open exhibition kitchen provide a dining experience unlike any other in the region.

Club Room:
The private member dining room offers a classic American Brasserie menu. Simply prepared and presented, the menu emphasizes the freshest local meats and sustainable seafood. A fireplace casts warm light on the wood-paneled walls, evoking the interior of a yacht. Upholstered booths create an inviting, traditional atmosphere; tables outside on the porch are ideal for fair weather dining or enjoying a cocktail after a sumptuous meal.  Serving lunch and dinner daily, the wood paneling, private bar, outdoor seating and inviting fireplace make the space a sophisticated, intimate and relaxed place to dine.

The Verandah:
A treasured area for visiting guests during the summers, the Verandah sweeps across the south facade of the Ocean House. The outdoor terrace overlooks the pristine croquet court, with the vast Atlantic and Little Narragansett Bay in either direction. Fresh shellfish from nearby waters are shucked to order; succulent oysters, clams and crab claws are part of the traditional New England raw bar served out on the Verandah. The menu also includes savory light items including a daily ceviche and an assortment of delicious sandwiches. With oversized chairs and low tables, the Verandah beckons you to relax, enjoy a brisk cocktail paired with a heavenly bite, and stare out into the ocean as the waves crash along the shoreline.

Seaside Terrace:
Overlooking the Atlantic and adjacent to the pool, this is the perfect place to enjoy a casual lunch and a variety of light sandwiches, delicious snacks and refreshing smoothies. In the evenings, meet for a drink on the terrace and watch the sun set before dinner.

Dune Cottage:
Just steps from the beach, this casual grill overlooks the dunes and is open daily during the summer season. Guests will be treated to a delectable array of signature cocktails, as well as appetizing menu options ranging from chilled soups to summer classics. You can  enjoy all the menu has to offer from the privacy of your beachfront cabana, beach chaise or at a table on the deck.

Sunday Brunch:
Every Sunday, Seasons at the Ocean House features its popular Sunday Jazz Brunch. Brunch at the Ocean House combines classic breakfast items and lunch fare, plus a variety of additional buffet items. Each Sunday, Seasons’ is transformed into a food emporium, with a raw bar featuring the freshest seashells, house made pastry and dessert display, and a selection of local artisanal cheeses and charcuterie. At the crepe station, a member of the Ocean House staff prepares crepes to order, with fillings of the guests’ choice. The à la carte menu changes every week, offering scrumptious breakfast dishes and savory lunch preparations. Rhode Island native, musician Greg Piccolo performs a combination of jazz, blues, and soul each Sunday in the lobby.

Other Culianry Offerings:

Farm + Vine: Learn what is at the heart of the Ocean House's unique, farm-to-table cuisine with weekly classes led by the resort's Food Forager and chefs. The one-hour classes are complimentary and are held in the open exhibition kitchen located in Seasons or at our community farm. Our Farm + Vine activities include cooking demonstrations using local ingredients, wine tastings, and visits to local farms, wineries and fishing docks to select the ingredients for that evening's meal.

Residential Suite Dining:  Our residential suites feature full kitchens and dining areas. Upon your request, a chef from the Ocean House culinary team will create a special meal for you and your guests in your suite, or will prepare the dishes in advance for you to finish at your convenience.

Friday Night Clambakes: Every Friday in season, we extend a personal invitation to our guests to join us for a traditional New England Clambake. Relax on our private beach and watch the sunset while you enjoy the sight of a traditional clambake fare being prepared, and listen to a live band changing each week. June through September. $75.00 per guest

In Room Dining: Light and spacious, comfortable and elegant, our guestrooms are unlike any other. For guests who like to lounge in the privacy and luxury of their own  hotel room, room service is available 24 hours a day from a special menu. Enjoy a delicious breakfast in bed or a romantic dinner for two served on your own private terrace.

A Vermont farmstay at Liberty Hill Farm Inn creates wonderful memories!

For a quarter of a century, we've opened our doors and hearts to guests from around the world. Many of our guests return year after year and have become dear friends. Maybe it's because of Beth's incredible, home-cooked meals or the novelty of a genuine, working dairy farm. Perhaps it is the allure of the peace and quiet of this stunningly beautiful corner of Vermont or the chance to milk a real cow! Some come to celebrate anniversaries, others family reunions. Whatever the reason for your visit, we are blessed to be able to share our home and our way of life with you. Are you looking for outdoor adventure or looking for a quiet retreat? Liberty Hill Farm offers the best of both. You are always welcome here! From our family to yours...

Comfort food served family style!
Beth’s Home-Cooked Meals
There is a good reason Gourmet Magazine devoted an entire feature to Liberty Hill Farm. In two words, Beth’s cooking. As guests soon discover, the dining experience is central to the farm stay. Beth is a proponent of the fresh food movement and making the connection between the earth and the table. When Beth moved to Rochester 30 years ago, her mentor, Lena, taught her one of the secrets of being a successful Vermont farm wife: when preparing meals, “Always use Cabot butter and Vermont maple syrup”. Beth describes her incredible meals as her grandmother’s recipes with a modern flair. Liberty Hill Farm Inn is a member of the VT Fresh Network which is dedicated to supporting the connection between farm and table.

Guests constantly ask Beth for her recipes and rumors abound that a cookbook might be in the offing. Here is a sample of a seasonal menu and Recipe of the Month, courtesy of Beth.Guests gather around the large dining room table for a sit-down, family meals that feature fresh local ingredients. Farm meals with a modern twist served with love; it's comfort food at it's best. We’ve been written up in Gourmet, Travel and Leisure, yankee, Family Fun, New York Times, Boston Globe, Vermont LIfe, and seen on Good Morning America, Boston Chronicle, and more.

That's why ATA has an affordable outdoor spa vacation starting at $168.00 per night, per person, including taxes and gratuities. We provide guided hikes, caving and kayaking, excursions, snacks, breakfast, lunch, dinner and accommodations. ATA's guests are hikers who do not feel comfortable hitting the trails alone. But a few adventurists enjoy traveling solo therefore our group atmosphere is a perfect match. ATA itineraries are diverse vacations for single travelers, couples, families, military personnel, women, young professionals, seniors and students.

We are perfect destination for people with special dietary restrictions, those seeking a location for a family, friend, school reunion or corporate retreat. ATA's 2010 season runs from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day weekend.

Vermont is well known for its spectacular fall colors. ATA is the only hiking spa in the Killington area during the month of October and recommends a visit approximately September 24th through October 10th for those leaf peepers seeking to experience the fall foliage at its peak colors in New England.

In collaboration with registered dietitians we created a delicious spa menu for those seeking healthier meals. ATA is able to cater to special dietary restrictions and offers two serving sizes, a small portion or a hiker's portion so our guests can have customized meals. We offer a vegetarian option at every meal and cater to special diets, such as vegan, low sugar, sodium-, wheat- and dairy-free options. This enables ATA to cater to couples, athletes, weight loss vacationers, as well as to all those with no dietary restrictions who seek to eat healthier.
