The view from Mt. Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast at 6,288′, offers views to the Maine coast on a clear day!
Area mountains that are popular with skiers and snowboarders in the winter months now offer a variety of activities for all ages for more fun than you can fit into one day. The views are amazing but there is so much more!

MT. WASHINGTON AUTO ROAD:

The oldest man-made attraction in the country is known world-wide for their “Ride to the Sky”. Travel the 7.6 mile ascent from the base Pinkham Notch to the summit of Mt. Washington. Leave the driving to them with a two-hour guided tours complete with narration, history, and a bit of humor. You can also drive yourself, and take your dog, if you’d like the adventure and more time to explore the summit and mountain trails. Share this experience with everyone when you get your “This Car Climbed Mt. Washington” sticker!

CRANMORE MOUNTAIN:

The closest mountain to the Manor at only 1.5 miles away. Their Adventure Park Value Pass voucher will be exchanged at the mountain for a day of unlimited use of their Mountain Coaster (pictured above left), Giant Swing, Summer Tubing, Summer Chairlift, Spider Climb, Bungy Trampoline, Bouncy Houses, and Soaring Eagle Zip Line. Their Aerial Adventure Park, an aerial forest ropes course, is NOT included but an upgrade at the mountain is available.

This is a great addition to any family staying in the Stonehurst Vacation Rentals. Take a break midday to return for lunch and a nap then head back for an afternoon of fun.

Vacation Tip: Start after 3 pm and tomorrow is FREE! Stretch your dollars by arriving at Cranmore after 3 pm and return to enjoy a full day the next day at no additional cost.

ATTITASH MOUNTAIN RESORT:

You can slide, ride, jump, and climb till you’re tired at Attitash! Exchange your General Admission Ticket at the mountain ticket office for unlimited use of their Mountain Coaster, Alpine Slide, Aquaboggan Waterslides, Slacklines, Airbag Jump, Sidewinder Waterslide, Buddy Bear’s Playpool, Scenic Chair Ride, EuroBungy Trampoline, Climbing Wall and Mountain Biking Trails.

WILDCAT MOUNTAIN :

Experience breathtaking views of Mt. Washington and Tuckerman’s Ravine from the summit of Wildcat with a round trip Gondola Ride. If you’re adventurous, try the 2100 foot Zip Rider zip line and soar above the treetops reaching speeds up to 45 mph.

Vacation Tip: Families plan a visit on Wednesdays and enjoy Wildcat’s outdoor tours led by a Tin Mountain Conservation Center naturalist exploring the diverse ecology of Pinkham Notch. Many of these tours are FREE!
