Rooms
The Whaler’s Inn is comprised of five buildings encircling our property in Historic Downtown Mystic, CT. The Hoxie House, our premier building, is located on the corner of the property overlooking the Mystic River and Historic Downtown. Rooms in the Hoxie House are located on the 2nd & 3rd floor. With renovations completed in January of 2018, each room has an air jet soaking tub, gas-lit fireplace, and views of the Mystic River and famed Bascule Drawbridge.
The Stonington House, renovated in 2013, is located in the rear of the property and perfect for those looking for a quieter getaway and houses both king rooms and room with two queen beds each. All are entered via a shared porch and feature oversized pedestal sinks and most have subway tiled double-stall showers (two rooms feature full bath tubs). This building is equipped with individually controlled central air/AC.
The Main Inn, built in 1910, is located right along East Main Street. The ground floor of this building is home to on-site restaurant The Shipwright's Daughter and an intimate meeting space for your group or event. This building houses 14 guestrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors and was newly renovated in 2016. Each guestroom features classic comfortable furnishings & modern amenities such as USB port outlets and individually controlled HVAC units. For the ultimate getaway inquire about our Premiere Guestrooms. These corner rooms are equipped with pull-out sofas or trundle beds and offer beautiful views of Historic Downtown. For visiting families, our Junior Suites feature custom-built bunk beds in a charming alcove in addition to a queen bed that is perfect for parents!
The 1865 House, located along East Main Street, is our historic Victorian Home. Renovated in 2018, this building is great for your next getaway or family reunion. All rooms feature a Queen bed and private bath along with individually controlled HVAC units. Our Morgan Suite provides the perfect location for wedding party preparations or gathering space for your group.
Our Noank House, renovated in 2016, is home to king rooms with full sized pull-out sofas and rooms with two queen beds each. These rooms are entered via shared porch, perfect for a morning cup of coffee or late night glass of wine!
Meetings
We are now equipped with a conference space that will exceed your needs! With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Main Street and downtown Mystic, a private entrance & exit, and privacy screens designed to suit your needs, our conference space can comfortably seat up to 20 guests and is the ideal location for your next board meeting or company retreat!
Larger parties or events may be accommodated based on availability.

Executive Chef David Standridge offers farm-to-fork dining for a memorable culinary experience for you and your guests. All work and no play? Not in Mystic! The Whaler’s Inn is a perfect choice for hosting an intimate meeting or conference. Our attentive staff works with you to exceed your service, food, and technology needs. Your conference attendees will enjoy the charm of the Morgan Suite, which can accommodate up to 20 people. Complimentary use of an LCD projector, flip charts, fax/copy services, conference phone, and wireless internet with wireless printer access are all available. Continental breakfast, a variety of lunch choices, and gourmet desserts for afternoon breaks are offered. Special Rates are available for overnight lodging with any conference booking.
