The 31-room inn, repeatedly honored as one of New England’s most stylish escapes, has undergone a property-wide reimagination under the guidance of New York-based Jenny Wolf Interiors. At White Barn Inn, Wolf Interiors embraced the property’s farmhouse history and introduced playful contemporary touches, utilizing both new and vintage, high and low, rough and polished elements to create inviting and cozy interiors with a unique Maine sensibility. Refreshed guest rooms feature spindle beds, Chelsea Textiles furniture, Sister Parish wallpaper, Fermoie lampshades, antiques, and traditional English and Gustavian-style pieces mixed with modern touches. Rooms also feature elements from local Maine purveyors, such as cozy throw blankets from Evangeline in Portland and Adirondack chairs from Chairman of the Board.

White Barn Inn offers a distinctive collection of guestrooms, suites, Garden Hideaways, cottages, houseboats, and accessible accommodations, providing a range of options for different styles of stays. Cozy Guest Rooms feature up to 310 sq. ft. of coastal charm and sophistication, with indulgent touches that may include a jetted tub for two or a dramatic picture window overlooking the woods. Roomy Guest Suites offer between 420 and 620 sq. ft. and feature warming gas-burning fireplaces and luxurious bathrooms with large jetted or soaking tubs. The five stand-alone cottages range from 400 to 1,035 sq. ft., combining space and privacy with direct access to either the White Barn Inn heated Infinity Pool or views of the Kennebunk River. 

For a distinctive waterfront escape, the four houseboats — Cora, Nettie, Grace, and Ivory — each offer 512 sq. ft. of living space, accommodations for up to three adults, and a private 640-square-foot rooftop deck. Located approximately a seven-minute walk from the inn, the houseboats offer an intimate retreat with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surrounding setting.
