Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Strong House Inn showcases the craftsmanship of a bygone era, from its graceful staircase with curly maple railings to its elegant moldings and historic fireplace. Start each morning with a chef’s choice breakfast served at private tables in the main Inn. The full breakfast includes a freshly prepared bread dish, an egg dish, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. Dietary restrictions and food allergies can be accommodated with advance notice.

The Bernedoodle Bar offers a comprehensive selection of fine wines and spirits, with refreshing beverages available to enjoy in the Inn’s inviting common areas or the comfort of your guest room. Please be aware that Vermont State Law prohibits the consumption in the Inn’s common areas of any alcoholic beverages not purchased at the Inn.

Rooms

Strong House Inn offers 13 individually decorated guestrooms across two distinct buildings, providing a range of accommodations to suit different preferences. The historic Main House features eight guestrooms with original mid-19th-century wood floors, tasteful antiques, private en-suite bathrooms, and modern comforts. Built in 1834, the home retains its classic New England character and historic charm.

For guests who prefer a more contemporary setting, Rabbit Ridge Country House Annex offers six additional guestrooms. During their stay, guests can enjoy a full breakfast served daily, access to the on-site bar, and five acres of gardens and grounds. Whether visiting as a couple, with family, or for a business gathering, Strong House Inn offers a welcoming home base in Vermont’s Champlain Valley.
