Sugarbush Resort: An All-Season Destination in Vermont’s Mad River Valley

Nestled in the heart of northern central Vermont, Sugarbush Resort is a full-service destination offering unique lodging experiences for getaways and vacations. Located in the historic Mad River Valley and the charming town of Warren, Sugarbush has been welcoming guests since its ski area opened in 1958. By 1984, it had evolved into a year-round resort with the addition of tennis, golf, and a variety of accommodations.

Winter Adventures

Sugarbush is renowned for its skiing and snowboarding, featuring one of Vermont’s longest vertical drops at 2,600 feet. With 70% of the terrain covered by snowmaking, guests can count on reliable conditions throughout the season.

Summer Escapes

In the warmer months, Sugarbush transforms into a playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Guests can enjoy racquet sports, golf, disc golf, hiking, and mountain biking—all set against the stunning backdrop of the Green Mountains.

Dining

Sugarbush Resort features a diverse array of dining options. Rumble’s Kitchen, located in the Clay Brook Hotel, serves fresh American cuisine in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The menu includes locally sourced meats and cheeses, fresh seafood, and vegan and gluten-free selections.

Just down the Access Road, Fit to be Thai’d offers authentic Thai cuisine with a full bar and takeout options. In addition, Sugarbush operates 11 other dining venues, ranging from on-mountain cafeterias and slopeside eateries to cozy pubs and a beloved waffle house.

Beyond the resort, the Mad River Valley boasts dozens of eclectic restaurants, ensuring that every palate is satisfied year-round.

Rooms

Sugarbush offers accommodations to suit every traveler. The Clay Brook Hotel & Residences is a modern mountain lodge located at the base of the ski area, offering ski-in/ski-out access and upscale amenities. Select rooms feature jacuzzi tubs, and all guests enjoy access to a year-round outdoor heated pool and hot tub, game room, and fitness center. On-site fine dining and nearby casual eateries provide plenty of culinary options.

Located less than a mile from the resort base, The Lodge at Lincoln Peak is a newly renovated Vermont country inn offering a cozy and classic mountain experience. With 22 well-appointed guest rooms and two spacious suites, the Lodge blends rustic charm with modern comforts. Guests can unwind in the welcoming common areas, including a fireside lounge perfect for après-ski or relaxing after a day of summer adventure. Complimentary access to the Sugarbush Health & Recreation Center is included when booking directly through Sugarbush Resort Reservations.
