The Jackson is a historic gem blending timeless style with modern comforts, set in the heart of Woodstock, Vermont—widely recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in America. Inspired by the elegance of an English country house and the welcoming spirit of Vermont, The Jackson offers a unique combination of refined charm and casual comfort.

Guests can relax in 16 uniquely appointed rooms featuring queen or king-sized beds, heirloom furnishings, gallery-quality artwork, and elegantly designed bathrooms. Luxurious touches include plush Frette bathrobes and premium Argan bath products.

The Jackson also offers generous common spaces both indoors and out. Cozy parlours and lounge areas invite you to unwind with a book or enjoy conversation with fellow guests. Outside, stroll our beautifully landscaped grounds, discover peaceful garden corners, or sit pondside to take in the serene surroundings. Dining

A highlight of The Jackson guest experience is dining at Oakes & Evelyn, our beautiful onsite restaurant led by acclaimed Chef Justin Dain.  The culinary philosophy is simple: put the ingredients first and prepare them with precision so the local fare shines and speaks for itself.  By working with local farms and purveyors, the menus remain fresh, creative, and ever-evolving with the seasons.
 

  • Breakfast daily:  Start your day with a delightful breakfast at The Morning Table at O&E overlooking the inn's beautiful gardens and surrounding hills.  The breakfast menu features time-honored breakfast classics as well as creative signature dishes, crafted with care by the Oakes & Evelyn culinary team.

     

  • Dinner Tuesday–Saturday:  Begin your evening with a cocktail in the Tavern, then enjoy Oakes & Evelyn’s delicious creations in the main room - from seasonal share plates, raw bar offerings, and expertly prepared meats to house-made pastas and vegetarian delights.
